“Our local garment and textile departments are expected to realize in advance a $15 billion export earnings goal in 2012," said Deng Rongfang, Secretary-General of Vitas.
Deng said, the garments export up to $1.59 billion in August, which made the total export amount reach to $10.8 billion in the first 8 months, increased by 6% over the previous year in the same period.
As one of the ten biggest export items, the export of garment has created a $5.3 billion surplus since the begining of 2012, increased by 24% compared with last year.
"If the manufacturers speed up production, enlarge the oversea markets like Pacific Rim, EU countries ect., then, it's highly hoped to realize the export goal of the whole year," said Deng.
Viatnamese Ministry of Trade and Industry has launched many activities to promote trade in HK, Thailand, Malaysia and other countries.
