According to Vietanam Textile and Apparel Association, due to the decline of its main markets like America, Europ and Japan, Vietnam textile and garments industry turn to South Korea with great expectation.
In 2011, Vietnam garments and textiles export to S.Korea reached to 904 million USD, the biggest in the latest years, reflected by the export data.
"Vietnam enterprises should focus on high-end markets to meet the S.Korean teenagers' diversified need." said by the association.
Currently, 450 S.Korean enterprises have invested in Vietnam textile and garments industry, reached to 1.8 billion USD totally, which made S.Korea one of Vietnam biggest investment countries.
Under this favourable conditions, Vietnam textile and apparel export to S.Korea is expected to reach 1 billion USD in 2012.
